About the Network

One connected system. National to local.

What The Informed Network is

The Informed Network is the shared front door for five connected media brands. It explains how they fit together and helps readers and contributors find the right one. The Network itself publishes no stories, approves nothing and holds no geographic records — it is not a sixth editorial destination.

National to local

The five brands cover the same country at five different depths, so a story can live at exactly the level it belongs to:

  • USAInformed — USAInformed.com

    The nation, state by state.

  • StateInformed — StateInformed.com

    Every state, in full.

  • CountyInformed — CountyInformed.com

Where local government and services meet.

  • CityInformed — CityInformed.com

    Your city, block by block.

  • LocalInformed — LocalInformed.com

Your community first. Then everything around it.

Shared geography, independent editorial

All five brands draw on one governed geographic system — the same states, counties, cities and communities, built from U.S. Census reference data. A place exists once and every brand refers to that same place.

Editorial decisions are not shared. Each brand reviews and approves its own placements separately, so a story approved for one brand never appears on another without its own approval. Nothing publishes automatically.

Part of The Local Internet

The Informed Network and its five brands are media properties of The Local Internet. Owned and stewarded by Local Internet Holdings. Developed and operated by Local Internet Group.
